Google Buzz: How to de-Buzz your Gmail Inbox

So by now many of you have figured out how to use Buzz. You've also realized that 'Holy crap, now my Inbox is becoming more cluttered with Buzz messages I reply to!?'. What to do what to do. Well here's a work-around that will keep you sane:

Yikes!!! So many cute little multicolored speech bubbles living in my inbox. Let's clean this up.

Go to Settings, Filters, Create New Filter (at the bottom of the page). Do a test search for 'Buzz'

Create a new Filter to get the messages Buzzing around your inbox out of it.

Note: You CAN NOT label your new label marked 'Buzz' so name it Buzz Off or whatever else floats your boat.

My options: Skip Inbox aka Archive it, Apply 'Buzz Messages' label and Never Send it to Spam (also apply to conversations below). Why not Mark as read or Delete it? Simple.

I won't always be in Buzz and I want to know who is responding to the Buzz I've participated on. All I'm doing is moving it out of my main view. I'll get to the conversations when I get to them. They're not must answer right now messages.

Now you're done and back to a Buzz-free Inbox. You're welcome.

UPDATE: Check out LifeHacker's guide to doing the same. http://lifehacker.com/5468067/ They use label:buzz which may just work better. ;D
